Are Dietary Supplements Good For Your Health?
Everyone seems to be in a hurry these days, so if your life seems to be hectic and fast paced, you’re not alone. Our lifestyles don’t leave any extra time for things like exercise and sometimes the only meal we have time for is one that we bought in a drive through. If you relate to those statements, you may want to think about adding a dietary supplement to your routine.
The third answer, which is a definite “No” is where you have a medical condition or are taking prescription drugs which may make the intake of certain dietary supplements unsafe. Most of us could probably benefit from one or another dietary supplement. If your lifestyle is indeed revolving around a cup of coffee for breakfast and a burger and fries for lunch every day then dietary supplements and also an overhaul of your eating habits, would be a sensible solution.
Before starting on any dietary supplement program it is always recommended that you consult with your physician, especially if you are taking medications or are being treated for certain medical conditions. Your doctor will tell you which supplements would benefit you and which you should avoid. Whether you choose a supplement that comes as a powder, liquid, pill or capsule is generally your choice. Pills and capsules are usually the most convenient to store and to take but many people have difficulty in swallowing pills. Some people just don’t like the idea of taking pills while having no problem with powders or liquids.
Once you start taking a supplement, pay attention to what your body may be telling you. If you start experiencing aches, pains, tiredness, etc., you should stop and with the help of your doctor or a nutritionist try to trace the cause. If you experience an allergic reaction you should stop immediately and see your doctor, particularly if the reaction is at all severe. Bear in mind it may not always be what you are taking that’s the source of the problem but how much of what you are taking. Make sure you know the recommended dosage and stick to it. Too much of a “good” thing can become a bad thing
Lastly, make sure that you look for reliable information on whatever dietary supplement you choose. The manufacturer or seller of the supplement could possibly be offering biased information. Finding information from someone unconnected with the product is the best way to find advice on any supplement.

10 Fantasy Sports Rules to Help You Win
1) Don’t join a league unless you’re committed to going the distance. No one likes to play an opponent with half their guys on the IR and the bulk of players not in the starting lineup. If you can’t stay the course, then don’t play.
2) You must stay the course with your team no matter what. Fantasy sports are great when your team is healthy and doing well but you might find more satisfaction in other ways. Imagine leading a team to a championship after having faced an uphill climb all year…the victory will be even sweeter.
3) Put a lot of effort into your draft. You’ll be living with this team for a long time so put the extra time in on the front end and it will pay off. Do your research, enter mock drafts, and develop a strategy that gives you the best chance to draft well. And don’t ever do an autopick draft…ever!
4) Stay on top of your lineup and make regular adjustments as needed. To start the week, spend a few minutes setting your lineup for each day to ensure you’re playing the maximum number of players and not leaving them on the bench.
5) Know who your competition is each week. Take a look at the roster of the team you’ll be playing and familiarize yourself with their strengths and weaknesses. For example, in baseball it may be unnecessary to start your weaker pitchers if your opponent doesn’t have solid pitching personnel.
6) You won’t always want to start your best talent. If you’re facing a tough pitcher like Lincecum, Halladay or Santana, there aren’t many players you’ll want to start against them. Start an offensive player that’s a half-step behind your best against a weaker pitcher, and you’ll have a better chance of scoring well.
7) Keep checking the waiver wires for good talent. There are always quality players who can help your team and you need to always keep abreast of who they are. You can even track players for a few days or a week, then keep them in mind when you know it’s time to make a roster move.
20% of players on your team can be replaced at any time. If these players aren’t performing well over a period of time or are showing signs of inconsistency, don’t hesitate to drop them and add another player that can help you. However you should keep your core group of players who perform well over the course of a season intact when possible.
9) Know your strengths and weaknesses. There will be categories where you score well every week and others where you don’t. Look to improve on those weaknesses with players that will help you in those categories, without a letdown in the ones where you’re strong. Start by adding players who can help your team and dropping players who aren’t.
10) Never join more than 2 leagues at a time. Any more than 2 teams will likely result in neglect of setting lineups, making player moves, etc. Think about quality rather than quantity and you’ll improve the chances of winning your league.
